Sandvik Mehsana receives the ‘rubber stamp’ approval from KNPC
Sandvik’s Mehsana production unit in India has received approval from the Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) for the supply of its product Category 12.20: tubes, heat exchangers, stainless steel and alloy steel to its refineries.
The company received the accreditation following an in-depth audit process under the jurisdiction of KNPC Committee Members Mr. Bandar M Al-Qahtani and Mr. Saleh Al Antere. This involved inspection and assessment of all the tube manufacturing facilities and processes to ensure everything met with the standard as outlined by KNPC.
Sandvik’s Middle East & North Africa (MENA) team saw the value of going for KNPC accreditation and initiated the idea, working with the Sandvik team in India. Receiving this recognition will provide several benefits for customers and Sandvik within the region.
The Sandvik Sales Teams, MENA and Asia Pacific (APAC), teams worked with KNPC Committee throughout the audit process. The team, comprising Bheru Shankar Meghwal - Inside Sales & Product Development Specialist, Khaled El Kayar - Assistant Sales Manager for Technical Marketing, James Doughty - Regional Sales Director MENA and Nimit Dabhi, General Supply Chain Management & IT for Sandvik PU Mehsana, worked hard to achieve this approval.
Nimit Dabhi, General Manager – Supply Chain and IT said: “We are delighted to have received this accreditation from KNPC. All our manufacturing methods meet stringent requirements laid down by KNPC. This includes everything from the origin of raw materials, through to our process and quality control procedures.
“Receiving this is testament to the dedication and hard work of our team in ensuring our standards met the requirements. This will go a long way to helping Sandvik strengthen its position in the Middle East and Asia markets, by giving us a real competitive edge.”
